Karen Carr
A native of Massachusetts, Karen was raised in Danvers, MA. At age 18, Karen joined her first Rock band and performed throughout the New England Region while attending Berklee College of Music. She began singing local and National TV and radio jingles during that time. She graduated from Berklee in 1990 with a degree in Professional Music. Karen has been a celebrated vocalist in the greater New England area that spans over three decades. Her professional experience, world-class talent, and passion for music have made her one of the most sought-after vocalists in the New England music industry. Karen is best known for her powerful voice and her stylistic versatility. In addition, she possesses a dynamic and energetic presence while also being warm and alluring.
Karen has shared the stage and, in some cases, recorded with such artists as Earth, Wind & Fire, Alicia Keys, Lionel Richie, Eddie Money, Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters, Robert Ellis Orrall (Carlene Carter, Taylor Swift), Jerry Marotta (Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel), Ira Coleman (Sting, Herbie Hancock), and David Stefanelli (The Beloved Few, Peter Wolf, RTZ, Sully Erna's Avalon). Karen was a former Assistant Professor for 20 years in the Voice Department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
